CompTIA A+ 220-1001 (Core 1) and 220-1002 (Core 2)
The new A+ exams were introduced on January 15th, 2019. Candidates are required to pass both 1001 and 1002 to exams to earn the A+ certification.
The cost for each exam is $219 USD. We recommend buying vouchers from a known company as they offer better options as a combo price for the exams. Many exam vouchers gives you the option of retaking the exam in case of a first unsuccessful attempt.
CompTIA A+ 220-1001 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting. CompTIA A+ 220-1002 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures.

The sturcture of PBQs are often an approximation of a virtual environment, such as a network diagram, terminal window, or an operating system.
English is the primary language with more language options being introduced by CompTIA at their own discretion.
Although the recommended experience prior to appearing before the exam as suggested by CompTIA is about 9 to 12 months of hands on activity, aspiring A+ Technicians have known to pass the exam after studying full time for 4 to 6 weeks.

CompTIA usually retires the old exams after three years.
